Our History
After years of hard work and dedication, Paul and Elizabeth established an unrivalled reputation throughout Widnes and Runcorn. Following the on-going success of their traditional fish & chips, they sought to expand the menu to cater for the changing tastes and demands of their valued customers.
In 1987, Paul enhanced his menu to incorporate authentic chinese meals and recruited reputable chinese chefs from Liverpool’s China Town. This proved to be a roaring success and we have never looked back.
We proudly accepted the “best chippy in the world” award courtesy of Widnes World newspaper in 1995
It was 2003 when Paul opened a second Pauls Fish Bar on Derby Road in Farnworth. The aim was to provide the same high quality food and service to the residents of Farnworth and surrounding areas, on their doorstep.
The staff competed in the Delamere Commando Trail 2016 obstacle course raising £1000 for charity.
2019 has brought Paul’s Fish Bar a new look and feel. We’ve invested money into refreshing our logo, menus, brand and website. We’re keen to keep up with expectations in the evolving fast food market but still remain an integral part of our community, which has always been our goal.
2022 saw us launch our delivery service in collaboration with UberEats. It has proved a roaring success and has gone from strength to strength.
We were extremely excited to replace our static menus with dynamic Digital Menu Screens which allowed us to tailor the menus and themes! We can now update special offers and celebrate seasonal occasions. They have proved a hit with our customers.
We have launched our very own loyalty scheme which is found on our app. Once signed in, when you order to click & collect, you earn points which are then redeemed as email vouchers for money off future food purchases.
